Illusion of Reels and Chaos of Mind....
Our human brain, in many ways, mirrors an AI model built to process, learn, and adapt from the inputs it receives. Interestingly, AI itself was designed by studying how our brains function. But here is the catch, while AI models handle structured data and specific training, our brains absorb everything facts, feelings, fleeting moments, and messy emotions all at once.
In today’s digital world, nothing represents this overload better than Reels. Every swipe exposes us to a new emotion, a different subject, a sudden shift from laughter to heartbreak, from smile to tears, from inspiration to anxiety. And we call it entertainment. But is it? Or are we just programming our own minds into chaos?
Adults are already struggling with the emotional instability that comes from this rapid-fire consumption. So, what about children? whose minds are still forming, still fragile? What are we feeding them? A stream of disjointed emotions, addictive distractions, and empty gratification, all so someone, somewhere, can profit off their attention.
Algorithms are smart enough to know exactly what your brain craves, and they'll keep feeding it, without ever caring about the impact it has on you.
It’s time we ask ourselves, are we nurturing young minds, or are we handing them over to algorithms?
Let's pause. Let’s rethink what we’re letting into their world.
